The Roadmap to Change (Part 3 of 4)…

MSS Security Aviation is proud to announce that it has started to use a new learning framework developed by 70:20:10, which forms the third part of the strategy stream. The new framework has been adopted by many global and large organisations as industries begin to realise the different learning capacities of employees.

The increasing rate and impact of change are part of the new norm in the modern workplace. Many organisations implement 70:20:10 as a strategic response to the challenges they face. As 70:20:10 is a change agent itself, many practitioners utilise the framework to position the need and opportunity for change.

“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” George Bernard Shaw

The adoption of the 70:20:10 framework continues to grow as Learning and Development becomes the main driver of the shift towards an agile, high performing learning culture. MSS Security is therefore pleased to announce that Marjie Bramham, Compliance, Training and Development Manager, will become the first Aviation Security Service Provider to attain the 70:20:10 Practitioner Certification™. This certification is a 21st century workplace learning solution which enables the learning function to implement the 70:20:10 learning strategy in direct response to strategic objectives. It aims to develop a high performance learning culture while also raising the L&D/HRs profile as a trusted business partner within the organisation.

As an organisation, MSS Security is also looking to be more innovative and strategic in how it develops and supports its people to deliver on corporate objectives and provide superior service to clients. Many of MSS Security’s people work in the field and therefore need to be equipped to respond to challenging situations which can arise at any time.

Companies need to build and share knowledge across their business units and seek a working environment that will support workers and encourage them to perform their roles whilst also enabling them to improve at what they do each and every day.

MSS Security is utilising the 70:20:10 framework to support the development of its high performance learning culture. The framework helps to recognise the importance of workplace learning and the support it can provide to help the MSS Security teams perform, respond and improve in the context of their work. This approach will reduce the reliance on formal training within the MSS Security business, and instead focus on the potential of workplace learning to guide, support, enable and empower its people.

The move to the 70:20:10 framework is also assisting the L&D team to move from being training providers to performance consultants, from delivering courses to providing holistic performance solutions that will help MSS Security become an employer of choice within its industry sector.

MSS Security has joined other major companies such as Coca-Cola Amatil, the Australian Federal Government, Post NL, BP, Sainsburys, NRMA, Proctor & Gamble, BT (BritishTelecom) and Det Norske Veritas, who are also harnessing the 70:20:10 framework through their association with the 70:20:10 forum. MSS Security is also seeking to intensify its adoption, and build its internal 70:20:10 implementation skills, through participation in the 70:20:10 Practitioner Certification.

MSS Security Aviation are leading the way to a better working culture and learning pathway for all of its employees.
