The Results Speak for Themselves…

Recently, Vice Chancellor Professor at The University of Newcastle recognised the Campus Security team and their achievements—revealed by the 2023 Student Feedback on University of Newcastle (SFUN) Survey.

The SFUN provides an opportunity for students to offer feedback of their experiences at the University and covers non-academic aspects including health, wellbeing, transport, events, communication and more.

The results from the 2022 and 2023 survey recorded the security team as receiving the highest rating for customer service across the campus. Highlights from this year’s results include:

• A solid 92.8% of students feel secure on campus, up from 92.0% in 2022.
• 86.8% find Campus Security approachable, up from 81.3%.
• 86.6% see security staff as helpful, up from 80.3%.
• 74.7% are confident in contacting Campus Security, marking a 10% increase from last year from 64.3%.
