MSS Security has been a proud supporter of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) since the start of the Workplace Giving Program in 2014. Since 2014, MSS Security and employees have contributed well over $185,000 to assist in delivering extensive primary health care and 24-hour emergency service to those who live, work and travel across rural and remote regional areas across Australia. The Workplace Giving Program is about ‘Australians Helping Australians in Need’ and the first-ever national fundraising event, Oceans to Outback hosted by RFDS, reflects this.
Access to prompt, reliable healthcare is something that many of us take for granted. But for those living in rural and remote areas, it’s not always possible. In an emergency, waiting time is critical: it can be the difference between life and death.
Oceans to Outback is a fitness challenge that calls on all Aussies to run, walk or ride 79km (the same number of aircraft flying across Australia, saving lives every day) during October and travel virtually between the RFDS bases throughout Australia whilst raising funds for the Flying Doctor.
MSS Security is thrilled to be participating in the Oceans to Outback event throughout the month of October. The MSS Security team is putting its training shoes on and joining RFDS in raising funds to support our rural and remote communities across Australia. The goal is to raise funds and awareness for the RFDS through the Oceans to Outback initiative from donations by our team, clients, and visitors.
