Talent Succession – GM Level …

On July 25th this year a celebratory event was held in conjunction with the ASIAL Gala dinner where graduates of the inaugural MSS Security Talent Succession and Development Program were recognised.

The Program, delivered by Di Tapp from World Class Teams offered the opportunity to explore a range of concepts in relation to mentoring and leadership and included key objectives around optimal succession planning, upskilling in relation to attitude and skills as well as knowledge sharing and growth.

The program also provided a platform for participants to build confidence and develop successful ways in which to generate ideas, think like a leader and learn how to communicate and present concepts to groups – all key attributes of future leaders.

As a business, MSS Security seeks to support all levels of its employees with strong incentives, benefits and reward programs, and it is extremely proud of the initiatives implemented, including the Talent Succession Program. The consistency across our programs throughout the entire employee lifecycle is another reason why we are an award winning company, achieving “Employer of Choice – Winner 2019” status with the Australian Business Awards.

We are seeing great results from the Talent Succession Program, in particular with the participants being able to start implementing some of their learnings in their current roles. Some of the positive comments made by participants at the celebration evening were “we all gained knowledge and confidence within the business over the 12 months of the program. Hopefully we are able to add to the business going forward and have further exposure at the top level” and I had a great time and really enjoyed the program as a whole, I got a lot out of it and would recommend it to anyone that was interested in personal and professional development.”

MSS Security continues to see great success from its ongoing Supervisor level Program with further opportunities available as the initiative progresses. The aim is to continue to develop and evolve the Program to all levels of the business, and the People and Culture team is excited to announce that the next Program planned will be for Business Manager level.

Well done to all who have participated in the Program so far and to the People and Culture team for such a great initiative. The positive results are being noticed across the business, and reflect some great ideas by our future leaders.
