Strategic networking opportunity in Victoria

MSS Strategic Medical and Rescue attended the Central Gippsland Essential Industries Group’s (CGEIG) annual dinner in Traralgon, Victoria, in August.

The night gave MSS Strategic Medical and Rescue an opportunity to network with potential stakeholders and discuss various topics important to industry and community.

The CGEIG provides a forum for organisations in the Gippsland region to liaise and cooperate on emergency management and security issues. It is made up of electricity, water, oil and gas suppliers, paper manufacturers, miners, major suppliers, police and emergency service agencies, and state and local government representatives.

The evening’s speakers give some indication of the CGEIG’s influence and scope:

  • Lucinda Nolan, Deputy Commissioner, Victoria Police
  • Tony Pearce, Inspector General for Emergency Management
  • Jane Garrett, the Victorian Minister for Emergency Services, Consumer Affairs, Gaming and Liquor Regulation.
