SA Spirit of SIS Awards 2017

Exemplary leadership and mentorship have won Mark Incledon a 2017 Spirit of SIS Award.

Mark, the Site Supervisor at the Commonwealth Law Courts (CLC) in South Australia, has been with MSS Security for four years, having started as an Aviation Protection Officer at Gove Airport before relocating to Adelaide and the Olympic Dam site.

In January 2015, when MSS Security was awarded the CLC contract, Mark was identified as an ideal site supervisor because of his professionalism and passion, said Jamie Adams, General Manager SA/NT at the time.

“Mark has excelled in the role since his appointment and the way he manages his team has led to MSS Security providing an exceptional level of service to our client,” he said.

On commencement of the CLC contract, Mark developed all the site procedures and processes in collaboration with the client to produce a successful transition. He also worked with the MSS Security Training Academy to create the Court Screener Program, which is completed by all employees before starting work at the courts.

So strong was Mark’s work on the CLC transition, the SA/NT team recently had him design Standard Operating Procedures for the Darwin Family Law Court to ensure consistency and a high level service across the business.

Mark also mentors and supports employees who are new to the security industry. For instance, in mid-2015 he began mentoring an employee who had worked at several sites, but had been found unsuitable. Mark put that employee in a relief role and under his direction the staff member has grown into a valued team member and earned a permanent role with MSS Security in just 12 months.

“Throughout his career with MSS Security Mark promotes our values when fulfilling his every day duties, and his continued dedication to the company and his role enables us to maintain a successful relationship with our client,” said Jamie Adams.

The Spirit of SIS Award is presented annually to MSS Security employees who have shown outstanding honesty, dedication, alertness, commitment to duty, initiative and/or resourcefulness.

Congratulations Mark.
