August 30th, 2019
Throughout August, our HSE teams organised a range of initiatives for Cancer Awareness Week, which ran from Monday 19th August through to Friday 23rd August. During that week, our business raised much needed funds to support those affected by cancer and promoted positive conversations and encouragement to employees to be proactive about their own health.
Our HSE teams across the country hosted dedicated fundraising events which coincided with the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day. Other initiatives included a touching personal story shared by an MSS Security employee, a fact sheet regarding the causes of cancer and a dedicated toolbox talk, all of which can still be viewed on our employee portal under the HSE Noticeboard by visiting this link: https://msssecurity.com.au/employee-portal/health-safety-environment-noticeboard/
MSS Security is incredibly proud of its fundraising efforts, having raised nearly $1,000 through the sale of daffodils and via personal donations.
As a business, we know that cancer has affected many of our employees either personally or to family, friends and colleagues. As such, we feel strongly about helping to raise awareness of cancer and supporting the lives of those fighting the disease.
Although Cancer Awareness Week has now come to an end, you can still support this worthy cause by donating via the link below.
