Pledge for gender parity

Today, on International Women’s Day (IWD), MSS Security’s Managing Director, Mike McKinnon, has pledged to improve the gender balance of the company’s workforce.

This pledge is in support of the IWD campaign #PledgeForParity.

“International Women’s Day – 8 March – is a great way to raise awareness and take action to make real changes to gender parity in Australian workforces. MSS Security is a proud supporter of this initiative,” Mr McKinnon said.

The pledge is part of an ongoing MSS Security drive to increase the number of women it employs. In October 2015, this effort was recognised with an Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence. In November 2015, MSS Security also participated in activities to support White Ribbon Day and its work to prevent violence against women.

IWD is an opportunity to keep this momentum going in the business, and the wider industry, as MSS Security endeavours to attract more women to long-term careers in security.

IWD is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. To learn more about its work, visit http://www.internationalwomensday.com
