International Women’s Day 2026 at MSS Security

Our Head Office team in Sydney celebrated International Women’s Day with a special in-office event, featuring award winning author Shankari Chandran. Shankari shared her journey as a second-generation female immigrant in Australia, speaking about the courage it takes to tell immigrant stories and have them heard. Drawing on her Miles Franklin Literary Award–winning novel Chai Time at Cinnamon Gardens, she reflected on themes of identity, belonging and community, inspiring us all to value diverse voices and experiences.

Our QLD team came together for a special International Women’s Day morning tea, creating space to reflect, connect and celebrate the incredible women who shape our organisation and industry. A highlight of the event was an inspiring address from our People & Culture Manager, Shari Wilson, who spoke about balancing the scales — moving beyond acknowledging inequity to actively working to correct it. Thank you, Shari, for your leadership, and thank you to everyone who joined us in marking this important day. Here’s to lifting each other up and continuing to drive meaningful, lasting change.

In WA our team celebrated International Women’s Day with lunch hosted by AusIMM at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. We were proud to join more than 1,500 attendees to hear from an incredible lineup of speakers, including keynote Jelena Dokic, whose story of resilience, strength and self-belief left a lasting impression. Thank you to our guests and partners for joining us as we embraced this year’s theme. A truly uplifting International Women’s Day Event.
