How did you hear about the scholarship program?
I heard about the program through my job provider.
What did you like most about the scholarship program?
Learning about the different types of security and gaining more knowledge about what the security industry is.
What are your three favourite things about your role?
1. The people I work with are really nice
2. The site has a lot of history, which is interesting
3. I get to see all the animals on site – kangaroos, rabbits, ducks, etc

I’m 28 years old and I love sport. I spent 8 years in government as a full-time employee until I decided I wanted a change. Finding an opportunity with MSS was by far the best thing to happen to me.
How did you hear about the scholarship program?
Through a Google search.
What made you choose security as a career?
I always wanted to join the security industry, when I heard about the scholarship I thought I could proceed down that career path and took the opportunity.
What are the best things about working in the security industry and for MSS Security?
The people make the job great. Working in a good team environment is what gets you up every morning excited to work. MSS are really good, they treat you well and look after you.

About Fatema
I have an IT qualification from UTAS. I am a community volunteer and have been involved in many community-based projects since late 2019. I am married with 2 wonderful daughters.
How did you hear about the scholarship program?
I am a follower of social media platforms and heard about the scholarship program through Facebook.
What made you choose to join the scholarship program?
I was trying to get a job in a customer service position. This is the reason I chose the program; it would lead to a customer service role.
What did you like most about the scholarship program?
The in-depth knowledge and information I got to learn from the study and getting a job after finishing the study was the most attractive part.

Why would you recommend the scholarship program?
It’s a great experience. You’ll get to learn a lot in such a small amount of time, but not feel overloaded.
What did you like most about the scholarship program?
The thing I liked most about the scholarship program was the interaction and the way the trainer taught the course using his own experiences.

I wanted to choose a different career path. I have friends who are working in the industry who encouraged me.

I got to meet new people, knowledge about a new industry and job opportunities.

I want to help others and meet new people. I think doing this job can fulfillthese goals.

The best thing about the industry is helping people be safe, which is rewarding and the respect you get when you wear the uniform in parliament.
