COVID-19 Vaccine Communication

With Australia’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout having recently commenced, MSS Security would like to take this opportunity to communicate with you regarding our policy on COVID-19 vaccinations.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the key priorities of MSS Security have been to ensure the safety and well-being of our own staff, our clients’ staff, and ensure that we continue to service our clients’ needs to the highest standards.

Pleasingly, with your help and with the support of our clients, we have been able to achieve this and importantly, retain most of our workforce in full and meaningful employment during this unprecedented and very challenging period. We are very proud of this achievement.

Throughout the pandemic, MSS Security has adhered to government advice and recommendations with respect to the management of COVID-19. As we now move to the rollout of the vaccine, we have developed and are implementing an initial COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Whilst consistent with current government guidelines, this policy may change as government advice and requirements evolve.

Please note, this policy does not replace any current COVID-Safe workplace protocols and should be read in conjunction with our Work Health and Safety Policy and related policies and procedures.

Our initial COVID-19 Vaccination Policy statement is detailed below:

MSS Security is committed to protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of its staff and its clients. This commitment includes taking all reasonably practicable steps to protect our staff in the workplace from the risk of COVID-19.

The rollout of COVID-19 vaccines is an important step to help protect those in the workplace from the coronavirus.
The vaccine is government-funded for all Medicare-eligible Australians and certain visa holders.

MSS Security encourages all its personnel to voluntarily access COVID-19 vaccines as they become available and suggests that all personnel who may have questions or concerns regarding the vaccine seek their own independent medical advice.

Where selected clients require MSS Security deployed personnel to be vaccinated specifically to ensure compliance with government regulations for their specific industry or business:

In terms of the Australian Government vaccination rollout, we will continue to provide you information as it becomes publicly available but encourage you to keep up to date via the Australian Government website link.

Should you have any questions or concerns about this communication, please contact your manager or speak with Human Resources.

Sincerely

Geoff Alcock
Managing Director
