Strategic Medical launches mine compliant ambulance

Strategic Medical achieves compliance

MSS Security’s first new mine compliant 4WD Ambulance has now officially been received and deployed on site at our new First Response Service contract at the BMA Daunia Mine site. MSS Security had commissioned Byron Group QLD to build a BMA-BHP Billiton compliant Toyota Land Cruiser.

The vehicle was fitted out complete with roll over protection devices, amber beacons, roof pod with weather proof seal, rear step and grab handle to maintain three (3) points of contact when accessing the POD, fire extinguishers and site specific radios.

The delivery of the industrial Ambulance has been timely, due to the site changing from its 2 year construction phase, going live into full coal mining production operations last month. The success in winning the BMA Daunia contract is yet another demonstration of MSS Security’s commercial maturity and vision in combining its core strengths and expertise in security and specialised medical rescue. This allows us to provide blue chip natural resource companies such as BMA, a single more complex, multidisciplinary paramedic, emergency rescue and security service.

Congratulations to Nick Prass, National Manager Strategic Medical and his team in no only securing the contract with BMA but also working hard to successfully kick off this exciting new operational venture.

(Left) David Hutchinson, National Clinical Operations Manager at MSS Strategic Medical was delighted with the fit, finish and usability of the BMA-BHP Billiton Compliant Toyota Land Cruiser mine site ambulance.

Well done to all involved!
