MSS extends footprint within the University market

MSS Security has successfully secured a three (3) year contract with the University of Canberra (UC). The UC currently has 800 employees and approximately 11,000 full time students from Australia and around the world.

Previously engaging multiple providers in the security space, the UC was looking for a single provider with experience in the University landscape. Key indicators the UC were considering included a commitment to deliver outstanding customer service and the capacity to carry out a range of day to day tasks in the security environment. Proudly, the UC nominated MSS Security as their sole partner to work directly with staff in supporting the safety and security objectives on its premises, including the University buildings, car parks, residences and other associated infrastructures.

The range of services MSS Security will be offering include Campus Security Officers, Concierge, Security Services Officers and Mobile Patrol services at the Campus Living Village and Arscott House(residential). Over the next 18 months, the UC will also build a hospital and high performance sporting complex on the site, which will result in an increase in the services MSS Security will provide during the contract period.

Following contract implementation, which commenced 9th September, MSS Security will collaborate with the UC to refine the comprehensive training program developed through the MSS Training Academy and tailor it to meet the UC’s exact requirements, ensuring all officers exceed the University’s competency requirements.

The UC contract adds to our growing presence within the campus safety and security market where MSS Security currently manages services at some of Australia’s highest profile universities.
