MSS Security is pleased to announce that our Registered Training Organisation (RTO 110044) has received approval to deliver the AVI20235 Cert II in Transport Security Protection (TSP), marking an important milestone in the continued growth of our training and development capabilities.
The new qualification will enable MSS Security to deliver transport security training in-house, providing greater flexibility, consistency, and alignment with our operational requirements across ports nationwide.
By bringing the program in-house, we will be able to:
Tailor training content to align with MSS Security’s SOPs, policies, and operational practices.
Ensure Aviation Protection Officers (APOs) are trained specifically in the way MSS Security operates, rather than through generic industry programs.
Deliver training that supports the unique operational requirements of different ports.
Provide a fully paperless learning experience through JotForm, a platform already used across our workplaces.
Offer an in-house training solution for our clients.
Eliminate the need for outsourced training providers and associated costs.
This achievement is the result of a collaborative effort led by Warren Douglas, whose vision and commitment helped drive the project from concept to delivery. Significant contributions were also made by MSS Security’s aviation security subject matter experts, including Dave Randall, Tiff Peckitt, Nathan Schrag, Sarah Meyers, and Thomas Partington-Gardner, who worked closely with the Training team throughout the development process to ensure the qualification is practical, industry-leading, and aligned with our operational needs.
Sarah Fraser, National Manager Training and People Capability, acknowledged the team’s efforts, highlighting the strong collaboration that has helped create a program that supports both business outcomes and compliance with RTO standards.
With approval now secured, the focus turns to onboarding trainers and preparing for delivery through MSS Security’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO 110044). The qualification will support MSS Security’s long-term strategy to strengthen internal capability, enhance service delivery to clients, and transition away from third-party training models as the program is rolled out across our port operations.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this outstanding achievement. Their expertise, dedication, and commitment have helped position MSS Security as a leader in specialised transport security training.
