International Security Officers’ Day

Dear Colleagues,

On Saturday the 24th of July 2021, we celebrate International Security Officers’ Day.

The 24th of July date was specifically chosen to signify the 24/7 nature of security work and recognise the people who are always at the frontline, going about their role professionally, often with little or no recognition.

On this day, we want to honour all Security Officers who put themselves in sometimes dangerous or unpredictable situations and make our community safe, and particularly our outstanding Security Officers who protect MSS Security’s valued clients, their assets, and staff.
The past 12 months have been particularly challenging with COVID-19 heavily impacting all our lives. Despite this, Security Officers across the country continued to attend their shifts and safeguard our community.

To our team of more than 6,500 Security Officers working all over Australia, MSS Security would like to take this opportunity to recognise and thank all of you who work to keep us safe.

Starting in Australia, International Security Officers’ Day is now celebrated in many countries, including Bangladesh, Canada, China, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Macau, India, Singapore, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.

International Security Officers’ Day’s long-term goal is to build enough support worldwide to petition to the United Nations to formally declare the 24th of July every year as International Security Officers’ Day.

While we work towards that objective, for now, I just want to again, say thank you for your contribution, dedication, and hard work.

Yours Sincerely,

Geoff Alcock

Managing Director
