New honour for the People and Culture team

MSS Security’s People and Culture (P&C) team has again been recognised.

The P&C team was one of only 30 to make HR Directors (HRD) magazine’s inaugural list of Innovative HR Teams, as featured in the March issue.

What set MSS Security’s P&C team apart from others was that it “likes to challenge the status quo, stir the pot and make managers a little uncomfortable, and ask ‘why’,” said HRD.

Unlike many human resources professionals, the P&C team must also measure its performance and successes against a set of KPIs related to MSS Security’s financial success.

As a result, “the company recognises that every decision made by HR will impact on the business this quarter, this financial year, and so on,” said HRD. “In HRD’s book, that equates to an innovative view of HR and its potential.”

MSS Security’s P&C team had some high-profile peers; also on the HRD list were HR teams from Telstra, the Westpac Group, Ikea, Ernst & Young, and Deloitte.

This latest accolade for the P&C team follows last year’s two ASIAL awards for its gender diversity and Indigenous employment programs, and being named an ABA100 Winner for Human Resource Management in the 2015 Australian Business Awards.
